In this Privacy Policy reference to “us” and “we” are to Gallan Parking Limited.
This Privacy Policy governs the way we collect, process, share and retain personal data collected from users of our website www.gallangroup.com motorists and or registered keepers of vehicles, our clients and their representatives collectively referred to as “you” and ”your”

WHAT DATA WE COLLECT AND WHY
How we use personal data
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
To process payments (we do not share Payment Information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to provide this service).
• For issue and pursue of a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) where necessary
• To obtain information from the DVLA
• For the management of our parking services including permit systems, payments, and parking enforcement
• For appeals including Independent Appeals Service (IAS) and British Parking Association (BPA)
• Statistical analysis for our car park management services
• As may be required by the police of appropriate security organisations to prevent or detect crime
• Enforcement including, before the courts
We may share your personal information with outside agencies, such as service providers or government authorities; this is so that we can fulfil contracts, run our business and obey rules that apply to us. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others. We process, collect, share and retain your personal data in accordance with the lawful grounds of legitimate business interest and the performance of a contract, where we have to give information to agents or subcontractors in providing our service we ensure the information is safe and secure.

Please note that, your rights are not absolute and may not prevent or restrict our processing of your personal data should such processing be for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (i.e. where we may process your personal data for the purpose of court action to enforce a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) or other debt or where our legitimate interests may override your interests, rights and freedoms in accordance with current legislation. Should you request a restriction on processing which we reasonably consider being manifestly unfound or excessive we may refuse such request unless you pay a reasonable fee to allow us to deal with the request.
Reasonable fees are calculated based on an hourly rate of £20.00 to be spent dealing with such a request together with reasonable photocopying and postage costs. Such fees will be charged in advance based on a reasonable estimate of time to be taken in complying with the request, but should this estimate be insufficient, a balancing payment for any additional administrative time may be charged before your request is actioned.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION (DATA RETENTION)
Information (Data) relating to a parking Charge Notices (PCN’s) are retained under HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) guidelines for financial transactions and we have an obligation to hold this data for six (6) years.
Data relating to the use of Pay & Display machines or other transactional mechanisms are retained for up to six (6) months to ensure your ability to appeal a potential Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
Vehicle Registration Numbers (VRN) and other data from payment mechanisms are maintained separately and exclusively for the use of payment services and contracts and are separate from Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) data.
